I am switching to Linux Mint, so far the best Linux OS in my opinion. What I really like about it is how clean and fast it feels. Everything works right after installation, no weird setup problems or extra stuff you don’t need. The interface is simple and familiar, kind of like Windows but smoother and more stable.
Performance is great too. My laptop feels faster, apps open quick, and there’s no random lag or background things eating up resources. I also like that I decide when to update, no forced restarts or annoying popups while I’m working.
Linux Mint feels solid and reliable. The Cinnamon desktop looks nice, the software manager is easy to use, and I don’t have to dig around just to make simple changes. I’ve tried a few other distros before, but Mint feels like the perfect mix of speed and comfort.
If anyone is planning to move from Windows, Linux Mint is honestly the best place to start. Oh, and I will be keeping Windows installed in virtual box for testing.
